Week 6 brings us a match on May 6th where Vila Nova will play host to Náutico in a clash of the Serie B. Weather on match day is looking like a cloudy but warm day with daytime temperatures of 25 degrees, a perfect day for football. 17th placed Vila Nova is fresh off their 2-2 draw against Londrina. Gabriel struck first for Londrina in the 2nd minute on a feed from Samuel Santos, then Pablo Dyego got the equalizer for Vila Nova in the 59th minute on a feed from Arthur . They’re hoping to improve on their recent performance, having lost 1 of their last 10, while 9th placed Náutico is fresh off their 2-1 win against CRB. Richard scored the first goal for CRB in the 57th minute, then Pedro Vitor tied it up for Náutico in the 78th minute But fortunately they were able to complete the comaback in the 89th minute on a goal by Ailton. Náutico is looking for direction having 2 win and 2 losses in their last 10 matches.
This will be the first match for these two teams against eachother this season. Last season these teams were evenly matched with 1 win each.
Luis Phelipe and Niltinho are the top scorers for Náutico in the last 5 matches, but unfortunately they only have one goal. It’s hard to imagine having success with those stats. Both Arthur and Pablo Dyego have been the hottest scorers for Vila Nova in the last 5 each having scored 2 goals each.
