Southampton vs Blackpool Match Preview


On Jan 28th, Southampton hosts Blackpool at St. Mary’s Stadium in a clash of the FA Cup. Aston Villa ended the match with the shutout victory. They’re hoping to improve on their recent performance, having earned only 7 points in their last 10 matches, while in their last match, Blackpool recorded a 0-2 loss against Watford. Toby Adeyemo scored the first goal for Watford in the 72nd minute, then Ismaila Sarr added another in the 87th minute on a penalty shot In the end, Blackpool was frustrated by Watford’s defence and couldn’t put any tallies on the board. Watford ended the match with the shutout victory. Blackpool looks to improve on their recent performance, having earned only 4 points in their last 10 matches.

This match will be the first time these two teams face eachother this season.

Marvin Ekpiteta has been the most effective weapon for Blackpool lately. The English defender has netted 2 goals in his last five matches. Southampton is fortunate enough to have James Ward-Prowse in top form. In the last 5 matches the midfielder has scored four goals.
