Sanfrecce Hiroshima vs Kashiwa Reysol Match Preview

In this week 5 match on the 19th of March, Kashiwa Reysol and Sanfrecce Hiroshima will play a match in Hiroshima in a clash of these two closely matched J-League teams. Weather on match day is looking like a cloudy and cool day, with daytime temperatures of only 9 degrees, which will make playing unpleasant. Sanfrecce Hiroshima sits at 12th place in the tables. In their last match they recorded a 2-1 win against Gamba Osaka. Nassim Ben Khalifa scored the first goal for Sanfrecce Hiroshima in the 2nd minute, but Usami got the equalizer for Gamba Osaka in the 70th minute. Sanfrecce Hiroshima is looking for direction having earned 11 points in their last 10 matches, while 16th placed Kashiwa Reysol is fresh off their 0-3 loss against Nagoya Grampus. Kasper Junker struck first for Nagoya Grampus in the 41st minute on a feed from Mateus, then Kensuke Nagai added another in the 52nd minute At the end of 90 a dissapointed Kashiwa Reysol couldn’t manage to score, and Nagoya Grampus took the shutout win. They’re hoping to improve on their recent performance, having earned only 8 points in their last 10 matches.

This will be the first match for these two teams against eachother this season. Last season these teams were evenly matched with 1 win each.

Kashiwa Reysol’s most prolific scorer has been Mao Hosoya. The Japaneese attacker has netted two goals over the last five matches. Tsukasa Shiotani and Higashi are the top scorers for Sanfrecce Hiroshima in the last 5 matches, but unfortunately they only have one goal. It’s hard to imagine having success with those stats.
