Nottingham Forest vs Sheffield United Match Preview

Week 2 brings us a match on Aug 18th, where Nottingham Forest hosts Sheffield United in a meeting of these two closely matched Premier League teams. Weather on match day is looking like a cloudy but warm day with daytime temperatures of 21 degrees, which is great football weather. In their last match, 14th placed Nottingham Forest, recorded a 1-2 loss against Arsenal. Edward Nketiah struck first for Arsenal in the 26th minute, then Bukayo Saka added another in the 32nd minute on a feed from William Saliba. They’re hoping to improve on their recent performance, having earned only 9 points in their last 10 matches, while in their last match, 17th placed Sheffield United, recorded a 0-1 loss against Crystal Palace. Odsonne Édouard scored the first goal for Crystal Palace in the 49th minute, and with that single goal the scoring was complete. Neither team could manage anything else In the end, Sheffield United was frustrated by Crystal Palace’s defence and couldn’t put any tallies on the board. Crystal Palace ended the match with the shutout victory. Sheffield United looks to improve on their recent performance, having earned only 9 points in their last 10 matches.

These two teams have not yet played each other this season, so it will be interesting how the match turns out.

Iliman Ndiaye and George Baldock are the top scorers for Sheffield United in the last 5 matches, but unfortunately they only have one goal. It’s hard to imagine having success with those stats. Nottingham Forest is having problems scoring lately. Their top scorers, Danilo dos Santos de Oliveira and Ryan Yates each only have 1 goal in their last 5

Steve Cooper’s squad will be without Moussa Niakhaté, Felipe, Omar Richards and Wayne Hennessey, while John Fleck, Jayden Bogle, Ismaila Cheick Coulibaly and Daniel Jebbison are unavailable to play for Sheffield United.
