Luton Town vs Burnley Match Preview


On Tuesday Oct 3rd, in week 2, Luton Town plays host to Burnley in a meeting of these two Premier League teams. Weather on match day is looking like a cloudy and cool day, with daytime temperatures of only 18 degrees, which is great football weather. Luton Town sits at 18th place in the tables. In their last match they recorded a 1-1 draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Pedro Neto scored the first goal for Wolverhampton Wanderers in the 50th minute, then Carlton Morris tied it up for Luton Town in the 65th minute earning Luton Town a comeback draw. They’re hoping to improve on their recent performance, having earned only 6 points in their last 10 matches, while 19th placed Burnley is fresh off their 0-1 loss against Manchester United. Bruno Fernandes scored the first goal for Manchester United in the 45th minute, and that was all the excitement the two teams could muster At the end of 90 a dissapointed Burnley couldn’t manage to score, and Manchester United took the shutout win. Burnley looks to improve on their recent performance, having lost 4 of their last 10.

This will be the first match for these two teams against eachother this season.

Burnley’s most prolific scorer has been Lyle Foster. The attacker has netted two goals over the last five matches. Carlton Morris has been the most prolific scorer on Luton Town in his last five matches with 2 goals

Rob Edwards’s Luton Town squad will be without Ross Barkley, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Jordan Clark, Daniel Potts and Tom Lockyer, while Michael David Jackson’s Burnley squad will be without Jóhann Guðmundsson, Michael Obafemi, Hjalmar Ekdal and Vitinho.
