Week 4 brings us a match on Apr 18th, where Brøndby will travel to København to battle København in a Superliga match. Weather on match day is looking like a cloudy and cool day, with daytime temperatures of only 7 degrees, which will make playing unpleasant. 1st placed København is fresh off their 1-3 loss against Silkeborg. Nicolai F Vallys struck first for Silkeborg in the 59th minute, then Nicklas Helenius added another in the 74th minute on a feed from Sebastian Jorgensen. København is on a hot streak lately, having won 8 of their last 10, while brøndby sits at 4th place in the tables. In their last match they recorded a 0-1 loss against AaB. Louka Prip scored the first goal for AaB in the 33rd minute on a penalty, and that single goal was all that was necessary as neither team could manage any more scoring In the end, Brøndby couldn’t muster any offence and AaB ran away with the shutout win. With 19 points in their last 10 matches Brøndby should be reasonably happy with their performance.
København and Brøndby last played eachother at the Brøndby Stadion on the 24th of October. Brøndby was victorious by a score of 2 to 1. Morten Wetche Frendrup scored the first goal for Brøndby in the 23rd minute, then Andreas Maxsø added another in the 57th minute from the penalty spot. Khouma Babacar and Akinkunmi Ayobami Amoo are the top scorers for København in the last five matches, but unfortunately they only have one goal. It’s hard to imagine having success with those stats.
