Kilmarnock vs St. Johnstone Match Preview

May 20th features a match where Kilmarnock and St. Johnstone will play a match in Kilmarnock in a clash of these two evenly matched Premiership teams. The game day is forecasted to be a cloudy and cool day, with daytime temperatures of only 10 degrees, which will be a great treat for players. In their last match, 4th placed Kilmarnock, recorded a 2-0 shutout win against Livingston. Kyle Vassell struck first for Kilmarnock in the 48th minute on a feed from Christian Doidge, then Armstrong added another in the 64th minute from the penalty spot In the end, Livingston was frustrated by Kilmarnock’s defence and couldn’t put any tallies on the board. Kilmarnock ended the match with the shutout victory. Kilmarnock is looking for direction having earned 11 points in their last 10 matches, while st. Johnstone is fresh off their 0-2 loss against Motherwell. Kevin van Veen scored the first goal for Motherwell in the 52nd minute on a penalty, then Mikael Mandron added another in the 3rd minute of the second half’s stoppage time on a feed from Blair Spittal At the end of 90 a dissapointed St. Johnstone couldn’t manage to score, and Motherwell took the shutout win. St. Johnstone looks to improve on their recent performance, having lost 5 of their last 10.

Kilmarnock and St. Johnstone last played eachother at the Rugby Park on the 18th of March. Kilmarnock and St. Johnstone battled to a 1-1 draw. Joe Wright struck first for Kilmarnock in the 38th minute on a feed from Jordan Jones, then Drey Wright tied it up for St. Johnstone in the 70th minute earning St. Johnstone a comeback draw.

Stevie May and Liam Gordon are the top scorers for St. Johnstone in the last five matches, but unfortunately they only have one goal. It’s hard to imagine having success with those stats. Kilmarnock’s most prolific scorer has been Liam Donnelly. The attacker has netted 2 goals over the last five matches.
