Inter Milan’s Mauro Icardi has reportedly rejected the opportunity to be part of a huge swap deal involving Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Manchester United have been repeatedly linked with a move for Icardi, with Romelu Lukaku possibly heading the other way to San Siro this summer.
The Argentina international has been told he can leave the San Siro this summer along with team-mate Radja Nainggolan.
Inter director Beppe Marotta recently said: “It’s one thing to say Icardi is on the market, which we have already confirmed, but quite another to respect contractual obligations.
“There is an agreement in the contract that the player must be allowed to take part in training and we have no intention of denying him that right.”
And Sport Mediaset (via Calciomercato) claims that Icardi has turned down the opportunity to be part of a swap deal for Arsenal‘s Aubameyang this summer.
Aubameyang has also been linked with a huge move to United too but it remains highly unlikely that the Gabon international will leave the Emirates any time soon.
