On Saturday Sep 30th, St. Mirren will travel to Kilmarnock to battle Kilmarnock in a clash of the Premiership. Weather on match day is looking like a cloudy and cool day, with daytime temperatures of only 11 degrees, which is great football weather. 8th placed Kilmarnock is fresh off their 2-2 draw against Dundee. Amadou Bakayoko struck first for Dundee in the 16th minute on a feed from Joe Shaughnessy, then Armstrong tied it up for Kilmarnock in the 30th minute . They’re hoping to improve on their recent performance, having earned only 10 points in their last 10 matches, while in their last match, 2nd placed St. Mirren, recorded a 1-0 shutout win against Hearts. Ryan Strain scored the first goal for St. Mirren in the 7th minute, and that was all the excitement the two teams could muster At the end of 90 a dissapointed Hearts couldn’t manage to score, and St. Mirren took the shutout win. St. Mirren should be reasonably happy with their recent performance, earning 18 points in their last 10 matches.

These two teams have not yet played each other this season, so it will be interesting how the match turns out. Last season Kilmarnock won the head to head battle with 1 win and 2 draws.

St. Mirren is having problems scoring lately. Their top scorers, Mikael Mandron and Joe Shaughnessy each only have 1 goal in their last 5. Kilmarnock’s most prolific scorer has been Danny Armstrong. The Scotish midfielder has netted 2 goals over the last five matches.
