Marco Tilio scored the first goal for Melbourne City in the 9th minute, then Leo Lacroix added another on an own goal in the 12th minute In the end, Western United couldn’t muster any offence and Melbourne City ran away with the shutout win. Melbourne City is on a hot streak lately, having won 8 of their last 10.

This will be the first match for these two teams against eachother this season. Last season Melbourne City won the head to head battle with 1 win.
